Yea, I know both versions of the Bravado Buffalo already look like recent generations of the Dodge Charger.
Studying the Hellcat version of the facelifted Charger, I noticed similarities to Franklin's version of the Buffalo that the then-current pre-facelift SRT Charger didn't have.
Okay, really it was just the "SUPERCHARGED" emblems on the front fenders, and the fact that it's a beast. The other common details such as the wheels, vented hood, and side-vented rear bumper were all details that I had to add at Pay & Spray Los Santos Customs, the in-game customizing shop. Still, for a car that was designed in the digital realm well over a year ago, it looks quite like the brand-new Hellcat, no?

Looks more like the old one with a blacked out grille.

I see what you're seeing, and since these are fictional vehicles, everything is up to personal interpretation. I still feel that the "old" Buffalo in both GTA IV (2008) and GTA V is more like the 2006-2010 Charger.
Franklin's Buffalo in GTA V (2013) is more like the then-current 2011-2014 Charger SRT8, especially in the headlight detail and taillight arrangement. It does have the same humps on each rear door/fender as do the older cars, however.

The grille on the new GTA car does look more like the new (pre-Tron headlights) Charger.
But the rear doors, windows and fender kink are still from the old Charger.

Agreed.
